Review on Enhance Your Connectivity with the Vantec 🔌 2+1 FireWire 800/400 PCIe Combo Host Card (UGT-FW210) by Prem Reyel

Hello, my name is Qualcomtom and I am a professional engineer specializing in testing and writing objective reports. I bought this FireWire card for home use to digitize my old DVI tapes. I used a standard Windows 10 desktop and Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle version 1.0.1.207 to record the video. This card worked perfectly. Installation was easy, I didn't have to download any drivers, and after restarting my computer, my Pinnacle software automatically recognized the video coming from my camcorder. The only surprise was that this card requires power in addition to what is delivered over the PCI Express bus. You can see the power connector in my photos. My computer had an extra unused power port, so I didn't really care, but if you didn't have an unused power port, you would need to add one or temporarily disable one of your other devices. Overall a great product, I would definitely buy again and can only recommend it.
