Take the time to mix as instructed and it goes on smoothly. Goes on best if you load the top side of the brush up, then float and drag for clean lines. Practice on a piece of cardboard before applying to desired area. I used it to coat the inside of metal planter containers that will be used indoors. Two coats provided a durable waterproof layer and I used cheap plastic bristle brushes (would not recommend a foam brush with this). I allowed 48 hours between coats. Perfect for what I needed and I didn't have to buy a ton of it.
