Review on 50' Titanium Exhaust Heat Wrap Roll For Motorcycle Fiberglass Heat Shield Tape With Stainless Ties By LEDAUT 2 by Stephen Zimmer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Workds great, not too hard to do.

I was pleased, I thought this would be a super pain, but it wasn't. My suggestion, buy a cheap roll of dry wall tape, similar in width, use this paper roll/tape to do the windings around the pipe you want this material on. it will give you a pretty close template to cut material from the roll. Leaves some of the guess work of figuring out how much to cut or cutting short and having to use more clamps to start wrapping again.Once I was done, there was a funky smell coming from the underside but it went away after a 20 minute or so ride. My Jeep feels much cooler at both the passenger and drivers side seats. I just wrapped my front pipe, haven't done the exhaust manifold yet and already I can feel a big temperature difference in the vehicle.

Pros
  • It can be used on different parts of the motorcycle, such as headers, downpipes, and exhaust pipes
Cons
  • Ties may loosen over time and require readjustment

Used it to wrap my exhaust on my 2018 Sierra 1500. Part of the exhaust goes right under the transmission oil pan. I wrapped this area to protect the transmission oil from additional heat from the exhaust.
