Review on 🌿 Medium Fish Tank Decoration: Marina Naturals Pennywort Silk Plant (PP102) by Jennifer Holt

I bought this for my 3.5 gallon front beta aquarium. It pretty much fills the back of one side of the tank, which is what I wanted. I had to cut the very sharp, long and thin leaves that were attached to the base. Not sure why they were added to this product. Bad design as it can certainly hurt beta fish and probably any other fish. Anyway, this was an easy fix with a couple of staples very close to the base to avoid leaving any sharp residual shards. After that it is a very beautiful and attractive plant. Good natural colors. My beta fish seems to like it as it is more complete than any other artificial plant he has had in his tank. He swims in it, having got used to the abundance of the plant. At first it seemed to scare him a little. He is a very specific fish when it comes to changes in his tank. Once I replaced his bridge with a pagoda and he didn't like it at all. He just sat looking at the pagoda after trying to swim through it until I put his bridge back in the tank. He likes to swim under the bridge and cannot swim through the pagoda entrance because it is too small. He also likes to stick a small plant upside down through the small access hole in the middle of the top of the tank. At night it rests in an inverted plant near the surface. I took it out once because it looks a little weird, but it kept floating around like it was looking for a distant plant. He immediately swam into the plant and was resting in it when I returned him to the aquarium. Some fish seem to be more environmentally conscious than others! His tank is on the bar above my sink. He will also beg for food if I turn on the pool light in the morning because that is when I feed him. He swims back and forth in the back of his tank toward the kitchen (where I usually make breakfast) until he's fed. He won't let you forget to feed him!
