Beware of Fish

While these stones are beautiful, after soaking them overnight and checking the pH of the water, it turned out to be significantly higher than my tap water. (The purple color is related to the water the stones were soaked in - 8.4. The tap water was 7.4.) That's a big enough pH jump that I thought it wasn't safe for my fish. I would be wary if you're thinking of using this gravel in an aquarium.

Mulch Alternative: Use Indoors or Outdoors, Pebble Mulch on flower beds indoors or outdoors Helps soil retain moisture Provides good drainage Round and soft Comfortable on foot as no sharp edges . They are long lasting and don't degrade like mulch.
