When my Shiba Inu gets scared, she tries to run away. If I don't apply the brake/clutch on the leash immediately, it will have a lot of jerk at the end of the leash. That should soften it up a bit, which hopefully will ease her neck and help me not lose the leash. I've tried it on a couple of trips and while we weren't scared, it does ease the cravings a bit. It is very easy to connect to the proprietary Flexi connector. I wasn't aware of this before ordering but it has reflective thread so it should be more visible at night than the standard flexi item it replaces. It's well done.
