I have a Samsung Galaxy S8, GoPro 5, my wife has an iPhone 8+. I did my homework, read the pros and cons, watched every YouTube video and bought the Smooth 4. The gimbal itself is worth the money ($119). Yes, the ZY Play Android software needs some tweaking to use it. all functions and modes. I would give five stars if the software on the Galaxy S8 was perfect. I'm sure Zhiyun pays a lot of attention to this issue - they will sell a lot of Smooth 4 if they can fix the Android issues. Before you start: 1. Charge it up. 2. Make sure you have the latest firmware version (1.77). 3. Make sure you have the latest ZY Play software (v1.11.4) installed. 4. Make sure everything you assemble is balanced. Galaxy S8: Okay, you've already read all the other reviews, and I'm not going to beat a dead horse. A few things, 3x3 pano doesn't work; All 9 shots are taken and only the middle 3 images are stitched together. In RES for S8 you only have two options: 720p 30fps and 1080p 30fps. iPhone 8+: Uses all features and functions. Still have to play around with it to test everything. GoPro Hero 5: GoPro is on and off, I just mount it right into the mount. I use a plastic bottle cap on a GoPro, when I put it in the mount it holds it perfectly. You can add an elastic band for added security and peace of mind. I hold back the Smooth 4 stick and use the gimbal stabilizer along with voice commands to start and stop video or take photos. Yes, you can't see the window screen on a GoPro, but it works for me. I've tried using an adapter plate but it doesn't balance very well and makes everything bulkier. Recommend the best adapter for GoPro which is perfectly balanced. I have read many reviews, many of them are funny and some of them are hilarious. Look at product vs. price vs. what are you using it for. If you buy something that has no reviews and pull the trigger, you're on the island yourself. I made this purchase knowing that Andriod support is limited. I'm sure Zhiyun will correct any mistakes over time. He does what I need.
