I usually only buy Q-Snap branded frames because I've heard horror stories about unbranded frames, but I thought at such a low price I'd give them a try. I figured that even if the clamps were loose (and that was most of the complaints I saw), I could use one of the usual tricks to increase the tension. For some reason they don't even work! The clamps are somehow incredibly difficult to remove from the frame and so loose that they don't hold any tension on the fabric. I've tried heating the clamps in boiling water and then tying them to the frame arms with rubber bands to change their shape - nothing has changed. I've also tried putting strips of felt under the clamps to make them tighter - still didn't work! And the clutches are not even securely fastened in the hands, so they constantly fall apart. However, what annoys me the most is that I contacted nine one for a refund and they completely ignored me. Didn't even reply to email saying they won't. I highly recommend just eating the money difference and getting a reliable Q-Snap. When it comes to tyres, you really pay for quality.
