It works, but at a price of

I have to admit right away that I'm not picky, everything is in its place, everything is a razor shop like a carpenter. That doesn't mean I don't take care of and take care of my tools. I'm just not a fanatic or a perfectionist when it comes to service at any price. Life is too short. I'm just saying this because I feel like I can get pretty good, if not equally good, results with common products like a washer fluid sprayer. It's NO big deal to me to clean (ie dry) the stone after use. I keep paper towels for just such things. You may find that this material also tends to be a bit sticky. It's one thing to use it to lubricate a diamond stone and quite another to use it to clean/wash away a lot of material. This can get expensive. I'm more comfortable with washer fluid and a quick spray of honing residue. One more thing, I have to clean and dry the stone when I'm done and then put about a drop of this stuff on top of the stone as a kind of preservative for the stone to prevent rusting during storage (no more because it's catches and collects dust even in a box). In any case, I personally don't think $12 is a good price for 3 ounces of this lapping fluid. I will continue to use it as mentioned above, but probably not just for lapping.
