The pros and cons of the design are mostly covered in other reviews. I'd like to add that the fan isn't very noisy, the case gives the Pi a decent amount of weight, and the flat copper part for SDRAM on the bottom is significantly larger than the chip itself. I bought this for my Raspberry Pi 3 as it's notorious is hotter than previous models. I took the time to measure the temperature before and after the installation using the built-in sensor and the "Stress" program available via apt-get.
