I hope this is the future standard for locking handles. This new style of molded one piece handle and clamp is great. The double or single aluminum locking ring system has always annoyed me a bit. There's nothing I can't live with, but after trying these holds there's no reason to come back! I think I read somewhere that the SDG, like many other branded grips, are made by ODI or use ODI's proprietary rubber compound. Then these handles are guaranteed to have a long service life. A tip: when installing, use a rubber mallet or something other than your palm to ensure the handlebars are fully inserted into the grips. They are very snug and require a few quick taps before the clip is tightened. Update: 4 months of daily riding and the knobs are starting to wear out quite a bit on the stems. I mostly DJ on BMX tracks and roads and baile a lot. I'll be ordering a few more just to have when they're toasted. Whenever it was.
