This large size is perfect for a countertop if you have the space. And yes, like me, you may need to temporarily free up counter space to make it fit. And yes, it's a little awkward to wash the monster in the sink. But it's nice to have a large surface area to roll out the dough, and cleaning the table is as easy as grabbing a rug. This mat is perfect for working with sticky dough. Saved me a lot of time making cinnamon rolls. I have to admit I used a new sturdy table knife which was easy to lift and cut the dough and saved me a lot of time too. For storage, I wrap it in two overlapping kitchen towels with the ends tucked in so it's clean and ready to use. Before deciding on this large size, I measured my desk space to see how much space these larger and smaller rugs would cover.
