Recently bought these MKS Next Touring for daily commute and don't need special cycling shoes like I have for years. Spin them straight out of the box and felt grainy and slow spinning. I also couldn't find a way to adjust and lubricate the pedals. I immediately repackaged them and sent them back. I revived the MKS Next pedals today and although they cost twice as much they work at least twice as well. I never want to be in a place where a poorly performing part goes bad and fails, although I have no data on its potential longevity. The details of the product emphasized the quality of the bearings, but the performance spoke otherwise. On the plus side, they're reversible, making them easy to get on and off, as well as a nice grippy and comfortable platform. They looked good too. Two stars for those benefits, but I'd recommend looking at cheaper, higher performing pedals for your daily commute. As always, shipping was quick and efficient, as was the return to the UPS store.
