Review on πŸ” Enhance Your Viewing Experience with ViewSonic XG2401 FreeSync Monitor: Advanced Ergonomics, Full HD, Swivel & Pivot Adjustment, Anti-Glare Coating, HDMI by Kevin Hunter

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Terrible backlight, lots of delays. I'm sorry I bought it. Fantastic stand.

I've been using this monitor for a couple of weeks. My rating has dropped from 5 to 3 stars. Why? #1 lighting. It looks like an inferior fluorescent lamp. There is a bright halo around the edges and a bright spot in the middle. It looks like someone smeared something on the screen and cleaned it poorly. The darker the scene/game, the worse it looks. In fact, I tried wiping the screen twice before realizing it wasn't a dirty screen. The screen has an LED backlight. I honestly don't see it. Of course it might be. But it looks just as bad as a discounted $79 monitor with a lightbulb. I set the brightness to 50% and it's still visible. 100% turned on and took a picture - very visible. Imagine 50%. Annoying like an itch you can't scratch. No delays. For real? tons of delays. When playing The Division, characters jump around everywhere. I don't have that with my other 60Hz monitors. On this 144 Hz - constantly. Unfortunately, I threw the box in the trash. If I still had it, I would return it. First Review: Very bright monitor and nice shadows. Clear and sharp image. Easy setting. Stand - The BEST monitor stand I have ever seen with a monitor. It's heavier than a monitor. It's actually a VESA mount, so it works with a lot of different monitors. Height adjustable by a fraction of an inch, supports portrait or landscape orientation. However, the headphone hook is unusable. In fact, I hung the monitor on my dual arm and placed a third, smaller monitor on the stand. I wanted this monitor to be my main center monitor.
