I've bought these individually over the years, in yellow, red and blue. I wanted this green to complete my set so I could load each color with a different grit of sandpaper, starting with the coarsest on red and through the rainbow to blue for the finest. (It is now possible to buy a full set of all 4 colors from one or two sources, but when I first bought one only yellow was available; the manufacturer has added other colors over the years.) In addition to the convenience of being able to change sandpaper grit without stopping and changing them on a single sanding block, that's a great sanding block in its own right. Despite being hollow plastic, it's well-made, feels firm, has a real flat rubber outsole that provides the right balance of "give" and hardness, and lever-activated stainless steel cleats that move easily but the sandpaper to grab. safely removed. I especially like that I can stack a few strips of sandpaper on top of a block and just peel off the bottom one when it gets too worn or torn so I can keep working and minimize downtime. Combine this with a sandpaper attachment to quickly and easily rip standard sheets of sandpaper into strips the size of this block (four per sheet with no waste) that gets you as close to perfect hand sanding as possible.
