Perfect for my solar project
I found this at Revain for $18, bought it to use with a custom 12 volt solar panel I needed to suck hot air out of my attic through a gable vent. I used a jigsaw to cut the circle to the correct hole in the 1/4th thick plywood using the fan cover as a guide. I screwed it to plywood, painted everything the same color as my house, and screwed the plywood on to cover the gable opening. Now that the sun is shining here in Arizona, the fan kicks in and ventilates my attic. The fan works perfectly and has no problems with the AC voltage fed to it directly from the solar panel.
