Perfect for my solar project

I found this at Revain for $18, bought it to use with a custom 12 volt solar panel I needed to suck hot air out of my attic through a gable vent. I used a jigsaw to cut the circle to the correct hole in the 1/4th thick plywood using the fan cover as a guide. I screwed it to plywood, painted everything the same color as my house, and screwed the plywood on to cover the gable opening. Now that the sun is shining here in Arizona, the fan kicks in and ventilates my attic. The fan works perfectly…

Great value is worth it.

Works great for what I wanted. Fits just right on my little Chevy C10 cooler. I had an 18" fan to work with and a 16" fan with mounting holes was just about perfect for getting maximum airflow through my heatsink. Used as a thrust fan. Instructions where everything is in order and easy to follow, even the wiring diagram. We strongly encourage you to keep these in mind if you're looking to switch from a puller to a pusher. The only thing I didn't like was the disc-shaped zippers. They didn't…

10 " Radiator Fan 4 John Deere Gator

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was the perfect replacement for the original fan in our 2001 John Deere Gator 6x4! When ordering, I expected to have to fabricate some aluminum plates to fit the mounting holes, but little did I know that a parts package would be provided that would include additional small mounting brackets. the same but turns on with an external thermal switch and draws a lot of air.The design of the fan is qualitatively very similar to the OEM, so I can't…

You MUST reverse the fan blade to create the pusher

The instructions on how to do this are grossly inadequate. Just like many who answer that you just need to reverse the polarity of the power supply, which means changing the direction of the blade will solve the problem. This changes direction, but the curved design of the fan blades is designed to deliver rated airflow (i.e., an effective and reasonable force perpendicular to the plane of the fan blade). If you need a pusher, do both or you'll wonder why one fan doesn't seem to be working…

  • This is great

  • Some issues

Not the ideal way to measure air volume

I received a pair of 12" fans and thought I'd post some specs. The radius of the center hub is about 2.5 inches and the radius of the blades is 5.6 inches. I ran a dyno test with a half-charged 12V SLA battery. After the start-up surge, they drew 6.52A at 12.1V or 79W. The initial current was about 8 amps. I measured the air velocity on the grate with a fairly accurate Kestrel 2500 anemometer. The maximum velocity is 14.5 mph at the axial edge and 11 mph at the shroud edge. Not an ideal way to…

No papers were provided and the clip had to be cut off.

I like the product, but I would like a more detailed product description. It comes without instructions and the plug had to be cut off and retrofitted. I didn't like the flimsy fastening system and made my own steel straps for fastening. I also didn't like the three screws holding the motor to the plastic so I took them out again and replaced them with better stainless steel screws that won't rust and increased the mount by 1/8 to give the motor more airflow to cool the motor itself. The nut…
