Review on πŸ”’ Dorman 924-702 Ignition Lock Cylinder: Reliable Performance and Security by Bill Wieser

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wish I had known that a year ago!

Our Pontiac Grand Am has had a problem for YEARS (we've had it for over 10 years, it was our rarely used car). Previously, if we had to drive it, especially when it was cold, we planned to try to start it in 10+ minutes if 1) it wouldn't start and we used an alternate mode of transportation (all the kids load, drive the main car, eventually someone drop off and come home, repeat), or 2) the security light came on and had to sit for 10 minutes to reset. I happened to stumble across a YouTube video on this issue and we thought "Worth a try" is a cheap fix when it actually works (after all we've spent $100 in the past to replace the "fuel filter" and other unnecessary things to switch if he didn't start properly). went to an oil change specialist and they thought it must be a problem with the fuel line). We did it ourselves with helpful step-by-step tutorials from YouTube, and now. It begins! Every time! It's a 12-year-old car that we really felt we had to pass on to someone who really doesn't care if it's started on a certain day or time of day, but now we're confidently driving it like a real one Second. Car!
