Must wear cotton gloves at night to groom hands but needs to use phone for soothing videos that put me to sleep. After learning about the outrageous prices for conductive thread in fabric stores ($6 for 10 yards? Really?), I got this. I was afraid it would be thick or spiky, but this is a thin soft thread that is very comfortable to use. I threaded the needle twice as long and quickly and casually sewed the entire underside of the tip of the glove's index finger. Works great, no problems with the phone. Properly pumped. I'll make a few more and see if they make it through the wash. Maybe you can just layer random stitches.
