The handles on this set are wide and easy to hold. The peelers don’t slip out of my hand when in use. However, because they are so large, they do take up a lot of drawer space.I’ve only used two of the peelers so far, the "straight” peeler and the "I-shaped peeler.” They take a thin layer of skin off the vegetables, so great for when you want that. I was using it for carrots and such, and it was fine. However, when I tried to peel deeper, through some damaged areas, they did not seem to be able to do that, so I am not sure how they would do on some harder, thicker skin vegetables.
