They don't work on brick!
I couldn't wait to get this item! I didn't know how to hang light decorations on the brick wall outside. Most reviews say they work. Not correct! I tried to gently hammer them into the brick AND the mortar between the bricks. Then I tried to hit a little harder. They simply bent in three different directions! What a waste of money! I'll keep looking for ways to hang my stuff on the brick.
