This works great in my car to keep my phone where I can easily see and reach if needed. He never tried to fall under his own power. I have a MagSafe case which is definitely a must have (unless you have a case on your phone which I do NOT recommend). I could see that this wouldn't work for all vents, but my slats are horizontal and there's enough room underneath for the stabilizing part to rest on. Highly recommend if you need a mount that doesn't charge your phone! Edited to take a photo from my husband's iPhone!
