I've spent three days troubleshooting this vacuum and its software. I first got it to map my house, but then it lost wifi and I was never able to get it working again to test its cleaning abilities. Confirmed that all my other devices in the same area have Wi-Fi, so the loss of Wi-Fi cannot be blamed on my router. I ended up having to factory reset the robot and start over. After charging all night, the robot failed to charge, although its lights indicated it was being charged. I had to remove the battery several times, clean the electrical connections, etc. to finally charge it. Made a second attempt at adjustment, and the robot stopped midway and didn't pick up again; All data lost and had to reset back to default and restart. Made a third mapping attempt with a fully charged battery. After wandering around the house for over 100 minutes with 50% battery left, it turned off again and all the lights started blinking. I checked the robot and found nothing stuck or wrong. Again, the house map failed to generate and I had to reset the bot to its default settings. It was the last straw and I handed it back to Revane. Many thanks to Revain for the excellent return service. I would also like to comment on the software application. The first time I mapped the house it was successful until the robot lost wifi and couldn't reconnect. Within this short time I was able to go into the app and specify rooms etc. I found the app a bit difficult to use compared to the much more sophisticated Roborock robot vacuum cleaner app that I also own. It looks like there are a lot of glitches that Shark will hopefully fix in future updates. On the plus side, the robot was able to navigate all surfaces in my home, including a mid-rise carpet. Of the three robots I had, Shark was the only one able to navigate the shaggy carpet. At the same time, due to the stripe design of the roller, its movement was rough and intermittent. It bounces up and down, especially on carpets, leaving strange marks on the carpet where it has been. For all the above reasons, I cannot recommend this robot vacuum cleaner. In my opinion it was almost a complete failure. I really wanted to like this vacuum cleaner, but after three days of frustration I finally gave up.
