The product is NOT worth the price!

I hope the following list of pros and cons will help you find a decent bedside table. Pros: The size of the bedside table is perfect for our bedroom. The sizes published on Revain are more or less accurate for this product. A nice feature is the USB port, which proved to be a deciding factor in the purchase of this bedside table. MDF (chipboard, fiberboard) was used for their manufacture.- The bedside tables were nicely packaged. It really looked like an effort had been made to ensure the product was not damaged in the packaging.- The price is attractive for a product that claims to be made from solid wood. Too many manufacturing defects, it's very easy to assemble. Took me about 10 minutes to assemble the first unit after taking it out of the box. Cons: If sold as 'aged' this might help explain the tool marks and poorly painted wood finishes on both units. .- Drawer bottom and sides are made of cheap MDF. The sides are not that important due to their decorative purpose. However, the bottom of the box; This material will not hold much weight without failing. I assume that in the future I will have to replace the bottom of the MDF box with thin plywood. The legs of these bedside tables are nothing more than roughly cut frames. No attempt was made to finish the underside of the four legs other than coloring it. It looks like someone took a 2" x 2" circular saw to cut it to length and then quickly colored it after drilling the mounting points. There's clearly no pride in the quality of workmanship. As previously mentioned, the mounting screw holes are misaligned. The wooden pegs on the drawer frame and the top of the stand do not line up with the corresponding holes on the sides of the unit. I would recommend any buyer to have a small rubber mallet, wood glue, wood clamps and maybe even a drill with different bit sizes to solve these alignment problems. Don't expect the mounting screws to be flush with the mounting surface. Tighten the screws only slightly. Over tightening can cause parts to break, especially in corners. Of the two units I bought, one looked almost decent with no broken parts. Another was a completely different story. In the right side part, part of the insertion channel was broken off under the underside of the MDF decorative panel. Wood glue and staples have solved that problem, but why would you need them with a new product that's just out of the box? - The rear screws of the bottom of the second piece of furniture were not installed correctly at the factory and had snapped off. This caused the bottom mounting bars to warp on each side, causing problems with mounting hole alignment and was very aesthetic. Sawdust lodged in a patch between the bottom surface of the shelf and the mounting strip indicates this may be a manufacturing issue. To fix this, wood glue and staples came back. A lot of reclaimed wood was obviously used in the manufacture, as the first block is missing a piece of the shelf's lower mounting plate. It wasn't there before the stain was applied - again no pride in craftsmanship. On the second block, the wrong type of wood putty knife was used to fill large pits, making the surface look stained, as if the preschooler couldn't paint the inside lines where the stain made it clear where the putty knife ends and the wood begins. This is a minor flaw compared to other issues found with these bedside tables, but it only confirms my conclusion that they are not professionally made: The top of the second bedside table's MDF side panels are painted a different colour. than the rest of the unit. It looks like the worker coloring this device ran out of color mid-process and had to grab another can of color to continue. Either the wrong spot color was chosen, or a worker doubled an already painted part, making it appear much darker than the rest of the device. If I were to look for a bedside table again, I would hesitate. before you buy this product. Where they are made in Thailand there is a definite quality control issue. Installation is difficult due to incorrectly drilled attachment points. The corner stock will break if more than a few inches per pound of pressure is applied to the mounting screws. I certainly wouldn't pay the current price for these devices if they weren't in the $30-$40 range. I would buy these knowing the chances of getting a broken block are high - 50% in my experience. Don't expect the units to have a uniform finish; The materials they use in production are sketchy and give the impression that they are made from slightly better materials than the reclaimed wood in your big home store. I am attaching photos of the second device right out of the box. The only editing is to crop the imperfections and rename the files to give an idea of what's in the photos.
