I am impressed with the hygrometer and its accuracy straight after purchase. While this allows you to calibrate in software, it is not required. Of the 6 hygrometers I tested, this was the first that was accurate. I found the Bluetooth connection to be good and it does exactly what it advertises. This is no different than other Bluetooth devices that need to be in range. Bluetooth has a weak signal and suffers from obstacles. If you need readings from further away or away from home, pay more and get the WiFi version (H5179) of this model. In the long run you will be happier if you want to increase the range. With the Bluetooth version, you won't lose readings when you're out of range, but you'll only sync and see them when you're back in range.
