Keeps my cats HONEST

I didn't purchase this product solely for its alarm/security benefits, although I'm sure it will work well for that purpose. I planned to use this product to protect an area of my home that my cats used to need for relief. Anyone who has had cats knows that once they choose a place, they will always return. I have bought several products to prevent this but to no avail. So I bought a CPVan motion detector hoping that by aiming it at the motion detection area it would set off an alarm to scare my cats away. The touch alarm comes with a remote control, three 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries, a flexible bracket and screws. Setup was easy. There are 3 control buttons on the sensor. Power button, mode button and pairing button. The mode button can toggle between a friendly beep or a fairly loud alarm tone. The detection range is about 8 m or 26 feet. The volume in decibels is 125 dB. You can link this alarm to other alarms, but I have no experience with this option. I've had this product for about 2 weeks and so far so good. Cats learn fairly quickly not to go near this sensor. The alarm clock is loud. You can turn it off by pressing the Power button. This will disarm him. If you want him to stay armed, press one of the other buttons. The remote control easily accesses the sensor. We live in a two story house and had no trouble activating or deactivating the sensor from the second floor. If I had to improve this product I would suggest they program an alarm for 20-30 seconds and then turn it off without the need for a remote. I would also like to have flashing lights that would also act as a deterrent to the cats. Also, as far as I know, there is no way to adjust the alarm volume. After a while, you probably won't even need to arm it. My cats see a small white egg-shaped alarm, pay attention to its kryptonite and stay away.
