Adding only a small amount of water, according to the battery manufacturer, makes the device work better. It's a learning curve. Everything seems to be perfectly in sync. Don't forget to plug it in, golf cart batteries require regular maintenance. I try to check the batteries every week. Consume nearly 1 gallon of distilled water every 5-6 weeks if using the golf cart daily, about 1-3 miles and charging every other day.
