Very soft and fluffy. NOT "tinsel " in the traditional sense.
They are very soft and not hard at all. My rating may be misleading because I wanted it to be used for a non-traditional purpose to use as an "anti bird perch" to place along a line of chained lighting fixtures. Birds sit on a string of lights and poop on things underneath. I wanted a "sticky", uncomfortable string, and this thing is very soft, flexible, synthetic. Not "TIN". Not "tinsel". Otherwise, it may be useful for the seller's purposes. Just not for me. I returned the product with no problems. Many Thanks.
