I have 2 Siamese cats, very skinny and tiny. These are males and they weigh 7.75 pounds each. One of them has an illness that causes him to constantly inhale food and then vomit it up quite often unless I micromanage his intake. Because he inhales food without chewing it and then vomits violently, he remains thin. The other cat is just a picky eater, so in the meantime I've been desperately looking for something they can eat without them getting sick or gaining weight. It was a decision for us and I couldn't be happier. I was very skeptical because there are all sorts of reviews from cats who don't like it to cats who like it. Since mine are picky and fussy eaters, I was sure they wouldn't eat it. I was wrong and that's great! I first put gel on their mouths to lick them off and they got really annoyed with me and stared at me a lot. So the next try was I just sprinkled canned meat on the other side of the plate I serve them on. (I don't serve them as much as necessary). But I put a strip about an inch long on their food plate twice a day and they lick it off. I've been doing this for a week now and can see it's helping. They look a little less bony and I don't feel like they look as skinny as they did a week ago. I haven't weighed them yet, but I see the result clearly and I'm very satisfied.
