I didn't realize metal pools existed already. I'm an older man growing up in the 50's and 60's and I vaguely remember metal bowls, although I believe they were round. When another cheap plastic utensil I bought from the grocery store started to break down, I went online to find something more permanent and was willing to pay more. I couldn't believe it when I saw the stainless steel one! Sure, $40 is a bit pricey, but considering I've spent as much, if not more, on skillets in 50 years of marriage, I figure I'll probably never have to buy one again. My husband is a former welder and knows a thing or two about metals and he agrees it was a good choice.
