Firstly, this knife sharpener has some limitations, such as; B. very small or long, thin blades. But for every knife you can use for this, there's nothing better, not even close. I've been sharpening knives for about 10 years. I have every type of pencil sharpener known to man. Ask my wife, I'm a total wheter freak, I can't stand a knife that isn't properly cared for. With other systems like the Lansky I was happy with the results and with the good old whetstone I was even very good. I had no idea how bad my knife blades were until one day I used this thing and blew my mind! Because of this, for the second time, I began guessing about everything else I believed in. Once you get over the shock of the sticker (still not completely out of whack) you'll never use another system or whetstone again, I promise.
