Desk mountable only. If you want to mount it on the front or side for additional monitor mounts or for laptop and tablet use, the clamp to attach to the base is a little flimsy as the steel on the clamp is too thin to provide enough clamping force. Offers space for 2 monitors, laptop and tablet. I'm giving this an extra star for the great support I received when contacting them about the tablet holder breaking during shipping. They sent me 2 additional tablet holders (small and large) and I also asked if they could send me another laptop holder as this part is metal and well made. My rating should have been 3 stars due to the somewhat flimsy fastening system that attaches to the table.
