I've been using a Garmin Nuvi 250W GPS for a few weeks and have mixed feelings. What frustrates me the most is that he often throws you off the road to get to your destination or tells you to turn down a street you can't even get on. As a test I had him design a course for my work and he told me to do the course which added about 10-15 minutes to my driving time. I walked my usual route and when I was less than 3 miles from where I was working he kept telling me to turn around and take my original course. I was also told to turn left onto the Air Force Base airfield, which was long closed after 9/11. I used my Nuvi 250W for a trip to Delaware last weekend and my original course was a total mess so I had to change the settings from the shortest course to the fastest course and it got me on track to my destination. When I got to Delaware, I had to find Target or Walmart, and that's where this device shined. I was able to type in a name and found the nearest destination was 12 miles away, but Walmart was just over a half mile from my location. I chose Walmart and he gave me instructions on how to do it. When I had to return to the area I was originally in, it gave me a completely different direction than what I had originally taken. I came back right and it adjusted and I came back with no problems. It's a good tool but try to get maps from google maps first to check your route as google maps seems to be better at giving directions than the nuvi block.
