It's actually easy to install and one of the easiest things I've had to do is to hang the TV on the wall (running the cable through the walls and installing the outlet behind the TV was comparatively more difficult). There were only two problems with the installation: First, the TV looked a bit crooked despite using an equalizer. After that it turned out that the wall/ceiling above was actually misaligned - find out. Second, once you have a base and you're hooking a TV to it, things can get pretty tricky. You really need two people as it's a little tricky to attach the hooks to the TV to hang it directly on the bracket. You have a degree of flexibility as you can 'shift' the TV left or right when hanging - which means you don't have to center the mount exactly. However, you are limited as to how far you can move it to the right or left, so as always, measure twice, drill once, as the saying goes.
