Review on πŸ”© Enhanced Drill Bit for Kreg Jig Heavy Duty Projects by Daniel Casper

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The last two bits only lasted a day before the tip snapped off

I make a lot of furniture out of a recycled solid oak barn. These bits cut through dense oak quite well. I probably drill 100-200 HD screw holes a week and one drill bit will last me several months. However, the tip inevitably breaks without warning, so I keep a few spares on hand to avoid downtime. Not a very good alternative that I've found. By the way, the dumbest way to break a bat is to throw it casually so that it is not reliable and the bat from the cartridge falls to the concrete floor. Ask me how I know. Update: Bought two of these when I got down to my last exercise. Then two days later I went back to one. in the manufacture of a frame for a large L-shaped kitchen island in solid oak. I doubt any of the bits lasted more than 50 holes. Now I'm very afraid to get more, but I will have to do it until I find an alternative.

Cons
  • Requires socket
