Great Skimmer. Good for tight spaces. Just make sure you have enough space under the stand to remove the top cup for cleaning. The 2.5 setting seems to be the perfect setting for my palette. I got it sitting exactly 8 inches of water in my sump and it worked great right out of the box. My only complaint is that I had trouble fitting the inlet into the acrylic hole in the base. I had to sand down the hole to make it a little bigger. It felt like the acrylic would rip just by sticking it in. Installation issues aside, the product seems great, and 8 inches of water seems like the perfect level to run this in the swamp. Not loud at all. Very reasonable for the size.
