We tried another brand for a while but found it 'failed' too many times and all sensors same output and should give the same notification. Bought this with 2 sensors and a receiver for $39.99 and we love it. Actually found by accident, we were able to program each sensor with different alerts so we know which one was triggered. We wanted a third sensor, so we've since bought a sensor and receiver. The dual went up $10 in price, so we bought a single and left the extra receiver as a backup. (This current price is lower than what we paid back then). The extra sensors are pretty decent now, but not so when we bought them a second time. We really LOVE this alarm clock. It has a wide range of sounds from soft melodies to LOUD noises. We needed 3 loud ones and we got them with this alarm clock.
