I bought two - one for pepper and one for sea salt in a heavy use kitchen. They suited my aesthetic and both worked great... for a couple of weeks. The one used for sea salt stopped working once my return expired. I emptied it, looked at it and just don't see any reason why it should stop grinding. It spins and makes a crunching noise, but no salt appears. Is it salt or meat grinder or both? I would not recommend using it for salt. The one we use for the pepper is still working four months later. The cut is very uneven and difficult to adjust. I also have the feeling that he is slowly dying. I hate wasting time buying disposable items. If you need a feature or long term use I would look elsewhere. i know i will
