Short life filters and water softener
I'm used to 6 month life plus 5 micron spiral filter (RS5-SS). These 10 micron Culligan CW Fs became clogged with rust etc within 3 weeks. ("Soluble" iron isn't noticeable in the water, but it definitely builds up on the filter in a reddish-brown form.) I don't think the city's water supply has changed much, so I won't be buying these filters again.
