Culligan CW F Replacement Polypropylene Cord Wound Filtration Review

I bought these filters for my fountain. They provide good protection against deposits if they are changed frequently.

This filter is the same as what you buy at big boxes and local hardware stores. The only difference is the price, much cheaper.

Works well. Works best with my Culligan filter system. Most filters are too long and I'm wasting my money. They fit perfectly and filter well.

Strangely I only received 4 filters. Like someone took 2 out of the package before it was sent to me. The outer packaging clearly states 6 filters. Very disappointed.

We use these filters in our country house on the lake. They are hooked up to a seawater pump that runs through our shower, toilet and lavatory lines. Ideal for removing sediment.

I'm used to a 6 month life plus 5 micron wound line filters (RS5-SS). These 10 micron Culligan CW Fs became clogged with rust etc within 3 weeks. ("Soluble" iron doesn't show up in the water, but it definitely builds up on the filter in a reddish-brown form.) I don't think the city's water supply has changed much, so I won't be buying these filters again.
