I have been using these combs for many years, have bought them from Revain 3 or 4 times. Wow, the size has changed. I have aging, thinning hair and it's a lot smaller than the hair clips of the past. If they barely hold my fine hair, they probably aren't for normal or thick hair owners. After about 20 minutes, keeping my head still, I feel them weaken and fall out. See the image I included. Pink is new, smaller, brown is one of my old clips. Not only is there less space between the clips, but note that the new comb's teeth are about 1/4 inch shorter. it does NOT hold the hair in place. With my fine hair I can handle the new shorter comb spacing (fewer beads/threads in between) but the shorter teeth on the combs don't allow them to fully lock next to your head.
