They didn't fit my 2017 Subaru Impreza Base Model 4 Door Hatchback

Didn't fit my base 2017 Subaru Impreza 4 door model. The plastic adapter that came with it was too wide to fit into the metal sleeve on the vehicle. I've tried patiently several times, but it just doesn't fit.
