Review on Enhanced Fuel Injector Wiring Harness (APDTY 022190) by Micheal Chaplain

Revainrating 4 out of 5

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY! Fitting instructions NOT included

I ordered this and received it within 3 days for my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan so the speed of delivery was great. When the item arrived there were no instructions OR GREEN TAPE as shown in the pictures to indicate BANK 1 or BANK 2 - just a bubble wrap tourniquet. For this reason I am deducting a star from the product. Some in the reviews have said "Once the seat belt is on it only fits one way." OR compare it to your existing harness BEFORE REMOVE YOUR OLD ONE. I didn't want to risk taking an entire intake, vacuum hoses, throttle body and countless fittings only to hook up the wrong fuel injector and repeat the whole process all over again. I felt like the MAP sensor connector was on. same side as ROW 1 injectors (front of vehicle). This was confirmed when I emailed the company and they sent the picture above (they replied to me within 24 hours with great customer service). The connectors are actually disconnected when you unfold the harness, and the 3 with an additional, larger connector (MAP sensor) are the BANK 1 injector connectors. The other three (marked in yellow tape in the picture) are ROW 2 (BACK OF THE MOTOR). Now I'm in the process of installing the wiring harness on my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan. The symptoms I'm having (engine shake, rough idle, stalling) all point to the infamous fuel injector wiring harness problem that's been talked about on thousands of Dodge forums around the web. I expect installation to be easy, and I also expect the wiring harness to do what it's designed to do. If anything changes OR the problem improves or worsens I will update this review. However, it's one of those parts that really should be changed after a certain number of years/miles, as it's right on the rear exhaust manifold. When installing this, be sure to wrap it in heat tape and use a zip tie to secure it FROM THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. That's why you're doing this repair in the first place. Hope this helps someone else! In this case, click on the USEFUL button.
