I had to spend part of Christmas morning trying to come up with a plausible excuse why Santa brought my daughter a present that he couldn't open himself. Label pulled and nothing happened. I had to open it and thank goodness we have spare batteries on hand as the ones in the toy died. Replaced the batteries and now it works, but one star for my child who missed the opportunity to experience the excitement of the toy - without self-unboxing it's just another of many animatronic toy animals.
