This antenna is good value for money but please note that as it is designed as a 1/4 wavelength antenna you will need an artificial counterpoise, ground or 50ft of RG8X cable for the antenna to work properly. In order for the antenna to be loaded and working for a beginner, it must match 1/2 wavelength. This means if you're using it for CB frequencies, 1/4 wavelength equals 102 inches, so the antenna and the wire connected to the ground side of the antenna should equal 204 inches. or use 50 foot coaxial cable for the same result. i am happy thank you
