Better than expected.

Overall a good antenna. Overall, the SWR was pretty good. About 1.5:1 on CB and 1:1 on 10m. My rig is about 15 feet tall at the mast and 100 feet at the end of the RG8x. Hears better than transmits, but satisfied overall. First of all I will use it to monitor CB traffic near my house. Note that the mast should be 1", although with some leverage I was able to set it to 1.25".

NOT A GOOD ANTENNA the best Audiovisual Accessories

SO SAD! I BOUGHT THIS ANTENNA BECAUSE OF THE GOOD REVIEWS. BUT THIS ANTENNA IS SHIT. THIS PRODUCES A HUGE SIGNAL LEAK, I THOUGHT THAT IT MAYBE BROKEN OR MADE A FACTORY DEFECT, THEN I ASK FOR A REPLACEMENT. SAME FUCKING THING, LOTS OF SIGNAL LEAK THAT ALSO KILLS MY WIFI MODEM. I HAVE A HOUSE DIPOLE, 0% SIGNAL LEAK. THIS IS A LOSS OF TIME AND MONEY. I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING TO AMAZON, THEY JUST WANT TO CREATE THEIR PERCENTAGE REVENUE on the crappy things people are trying to sell. AMAZON…

Tram 1499 Base Station Antenna - Great Value

This antenna is good value for money but please note that as it is designed as a 1/4 wavelength antenna you will need an artificial counterpoise, ground or 50ft of RG8X cable for the antenna to work properly. In order for the antenna to be loaded and working for a beginner, it must match 1/2 wavelength. This means if you're using it for CB frequencies, 1/4 wavelength equals 102 inches, so the antenna and the wire connected to the ground side of the antenna should equal 204 inches. or use 50…

  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

VERY GOOD SWR 1:1 ANTENNA WITHOUT TUNING AND ADJUSTMENT

This little antenna is really cool. Very easy to install with the hardware provided. You'll need something else to attach it to, a pole or other attachment. I installed it in the attic of the garage. So far I have used a mobile antenna in the garage. The mobile antenna had an SWR of 3.8:1, marginal but not the best. Possibly due to grounding issues. Tested a new antenna, SWR 1:1, cool. Good reception and good signal output. Good solution for my situation. Would be good for apartments or places…

antenna at a good price. I use this antenna at 10 meters and mount it at 50 feet and most days it works better than my full wave dipole. I have a Mini-8 at 100ft and an SWR of 1.2 on my analyzer. I have used it on my KW radio on 6.10, 20.40 and 80m with internal tuner and it worked great there too. I just wanted to see what it would do if it wasn't as good with a 10m rig. I've worked on every station I could listen to in the US and I've worked on several stations outside of the US. Like I said,

At a loss. Best AV Accessories

Tested with 50' and 100' rg8x. Swr was consistently 1.1. Installed today on a stand on a 4ft support above the roof. SWR checked. The lowest SWR on channel 1 was 2.9, every channel through 40 was 3 or higher. I triple checked everything. I can't figure out what's wrong with the best will in the world. The only thing that comes to mind is the gutter causing interference. But since I'm mounted on a pole at least 3 feet above the roofline I can't figure it out. I'm not thrilled after drilling has…

This antenna has a very unique design. He has good moments and not so good ones. Good points: 1. Very broadband. (10, 11, 12 meters). Useful SWR on all 3 ranges.2. Lightweight and portable. (1 pound, total 3 feet high).3. Very strong and durable. Thick and durable, will not bend or lose shape.4. Does not require grounding. (uses coaxial cable for ground). 25ft coax – 1.4 – 2.0 up to 1 SWR at 10, 11, 12m. 50ft coax = even better SWR. Note: The coaxial cable must be routed and not twisted or…

3 foot giant! The best audio and video accessories

So everyone wants to sell JOE HAM and JOE CB a miracle gadget that will make it work like a boss in the air. So I was worried about this little guy. But it was cheap. And if it didn't work on Revane Prime, I could always send it back, right? Now I'm holding this baby. Read on: This is a tiny little antenna. It appears to be very light yet sturdy. The base is definitely strong enough to be mounted to a tubular pole with the included clamps. I have a manhole in my backyard on an 8 foot fence…
