Update/Restore Alert

I have owned this GPS for a total of 2 months. It doesn't hold a charge. I charged the GPS overnight, turned it on in the car and after 20 minutes of use it ran out of power. I had to leave the charger plugged in to use it. I delved into this because it is very easy to use and follows the instructions really well. I decided to take a short trip and it worked great to get to my destination. As soon as I had to go home, the device would no longer boot. I'm stuck almost 2 hours from home. I had to use the GPS on my phone which isn't as accurate as Garmin's GPS. I was very angry.
