Easy WiFi Map Download

This product was used on 05/24/18. Easy Wi-Fi map download. Precisely localized. I'm still learning how to use it.

Works best in in-dash navigation

My old Garmin finally died, it was a model 50, this is a model 51. The screen is bright, the sound is clear. It picks up satellites well. I am very happy with it.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Everything is great

Works perfectly. I like the Bluetooth calling feature.

Works like any GPS but also receives Bluetooth calls from my cell phone. It also shows nearby gas stations, parking lots, restaurants and other points of interest on the side.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No instructions

Resets all memory when battery dies

Exactly what is written above. I don't use it regularly and on a recent trip outside of my normal driving area I charged it up, turned it on and found that it had forgotten all the updates since purchase (one of which corrected an error relating to my home address). and all programmed locations. I think it works well if you either use it regularly or plan ahead to use it to top up, reload, and repopulate saved locations.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Speed

Update/Restore Alert

I have owned this GPS for a total of 2 months. It doesn't hold a charge. I charged the GPS overnight, turned it on in the car and after 20 minutes of use it ran out of power. I had to leave the charger plugged in to use it. I delved into this because it is very easy to use and follows the instructions really well. I decided to take a short trip and it worked great to get to my destination. As soon as I had to go home, the device would no longer boot. I'm stuck almost 2 hours from home. I had to

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some issues

That's a lot. Works like a charm, more than I really need however will be great. It is not a motorcycle specific GPS which is why I bought it. The screen doesn't take direct sunlight well, but I've used it in the car and if I didn't already have a built-in sat nav, I'd use it all the time. There really aren't any complaints about the map and direction capabilities, the downloadable software tools work well and there are plenty of options for creating routes, waypoints etc at home that can be…

  • Done

Works as expected - automotive and automotive electronics

I synced it with my iPhone as it is a 'smart' navigation system. Now whenever I get an email, text message, notification or whatever, it pops up on the navigation screen. While that sounds like a good idea, I actually found it distracting. It also has real-time traffic updates. It seemed to be working fine. For a laugh, I compared it to Waze. During the Boston-Newton rush hour (6 miles - 1 hour!) he took a different route, but theoretically he would get there at the same time. Some wonder why…

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • No insurance
