I synced it with my iPhone as it is a 'smart' navigation system. Now whenever I get an email, text message, notification or whatever, it pops up on the navigation screen. While that sounds like a good idea, I actually found it distracting. It also has real-time traffic updates. It seemed to be working fine. For a laugh, I compared it to Waze. During the Boston-Newton rush hour (6 miles - 1 hour!) he took a different route, but theoretically he would get there at the same time. Some wonder why you are doing this when we already have phones with Maps / Waze etc. It's a matter of preference - it's the only tool for the job while you can use your phone to actually talk. One important thing - I was planning to use this during our vacation in Europe and I found that additional cards are very expensive - around $70-90.
