I have just installed these gutter screens and am very happy with the product, installation and instructions. I have old 4" aluminum gutters and they have worked great. You simply slide it under the shingles, press the front edge against the gutter and screw it on. The screws and hex drill that came with it worked great. Self-tapping screws do not need to be drilled. I'm glad the bit was magnetic too otherwise I would have lost a few screws. For parts less than 4 feet, these gutter guards were easily cut with tin snips. I recommend wearing gloves as the unframed ends are quite sharp. I can't tell you how easy it is to install them on any roof other than composite shingles. I also can't comment on how they stand up to heavy downpours. While the Seattle area receives a lot of rain, heavy downpours are fairly rare. Overall this is a great product that is easy to use for any DIY enthusiast. Order these! You save a lot of money compared to the version installed by the company and you won't regret it.
